Use of item integrations

Item integrations can be used if you want to have a direct insight on the amount of hours logged on each item. You can choose to map the total hours to a number or text column, let's give some examples:

Total time in text column

Choose this integration to add to your board, then start configuring the following:

1. (Billable)time

Billable time allows you to choose whether you would like to shown either the hours of a time entry or the billable hours.

- time: this is the hours field of a time entry
- billable time: this is the billable hours field of a time entry

2. This time format

The time format can be chosen to show the amount of hours. A day is calculated as 8 hours by default. We will show how 10 hours and 30 minutes look like as an example:

- Days/hours/minutes format: 1d2h30m
- Hours/minutes format: 10h30m
- hh:mm format: 10:30
- dd:hh:mm format: 1:2:30

3. This text column

Here you can choose which monday.com column the number of hours are going to be send to. Create for example a column "total hours" or "total billable hours in minutes".

2. This number format

The time format can be chosen to show the amount of hours. A day is calculated as 8 hours by default. We will show how 10 hours and 30 minutes look like as an example:

- minutes (integer): 630 (10 hours x 60 + 30 minutes)
- hours (decimal): 10.5 (10 hours and half an hour)
- days (decimal): 1.3 (1 day = 8 hours, 2.5 hours = 0.3 hours)

3. This number column

Here you can choose which monday.com column the number of hours are going to be send to. Create for example a column "total hours" or "total billable hours in minutes".

With this number column you can now start to do calculations by using a monday.com formula column.
