In-app setup

Tracket can be set up and customized in many ways, allowing you to adjust the app so that it fits in your existing workflow. monday.com admins can change several settings regarding logging time, Tracket team admins and the start of the week. Furthermore, Tracket allows every user to change their preferences about notifications, the timer and how they want their timesheet to look.

This page will highlight the most important settings that are best changed before you start using Tracket and usually require a one time setup.

Time entry template

The information stored in a time entry can be customized using the time entry template. It gives you the opportunity to decide what to store in a time entry. Build-in fields such as the monday.com item, category and description, combined with configurable custom fields, give you the freedom to fully adjust what information should be logged. Team admins

Tracket team admins are users with extra permissions in Tracket. Their purpose is to keep track of the timesheets of their team members and gives them the rights to view and review timesheets of teams assigned to them. Learn more about team management ➜

Important

Tracket team admins are not the same as monday.com team owners. Tracket team admins can be configured by a monday.com admin via Admin > People. Learn more about configuring team admins ➜

Approvals

With approvals, your monday.com and Tracket team admins can review timesheets. Enabled by default, this functionality helps you keep track of the time logged by your users. Learn more about approvals ➜

Work schedules

In the work schedules settings, a monday.com admin can change at what day the week starts as well as the holiday schedules that can be assigned to a user. Learn more about work schedules ➜

Important

Changing the start of the week is recommended to be done before using Tracket. If you decide to change it later on, keep in mind that it will delete all approvals; this cannot be undone. This is because an approval is bound to a start and end date, which are equal to the first day of the week to the last.

User preferences

Each user has their own personal settings. These contain preferences regarding display options, rounding up time logged with the timer and notifications. Learn more about user preferences ➜
