Create, edit and delete time entries

Time entries can be created, updated and deleted via the timesheet. The steps required depend on which timesheet view you are using.

Tip

A single time entry cannot contain more than 24 hours.

Create a new time entry

Create time entry button

  1. Click on the + underneath the day which you want to create a time entry for.

  2. In the form that appears, fill in the details of your time entry. Labels marked with a star (*) are required fields and must always be filled in.

  3. Click on Save changes to create a new time entry.

The sparkle icons next to fields are from smart suggestions. These will prefill fields when a similar time entry exists and can still be edited. Learn more about smart suggestions ➜

Inline time input (hours only)

  1. In an existing row, click on the time input in the same column as the day you want to create a time entry for.

Important

If the row contains invalid fields, the form will open up, requiring you to resolve the errors in order to create a new valid time entry.

Stacked time entries

  1. Click on the stacked time inputs.

  2. Click on + Time entry.

  3. In the form that appears, fill in the details of your time entry. Labels marked with a star (*) are required fields and must always be filled in.

  4. Click on Save changes to create a new time entry.

Edit a time entry

Single time entry

  1. Hover over the the time input to show the arrow.

  2. Click on the arrow.

  3. Make the required changes.

  4. Click on Save changes to update the time entry.

Inline time input (hours only)

  1. Click on the time input.

  2. Fill in the amount of time.

Stacked time entry

  1. Click on the stacked time inputs.

  2. Select which time entry you want to edit.

  3. Make the required changes.

  4. Click on Save changes to update the time entry.

Delete a time entry

  1. Click on the time input.

  2. Remove the amount of time, or fill in 0.
