Configure the post function

Post function

When an issue transitions through its workflow, we can add post functions to make changes in TOPdesk incidents or changes. We do this by adding a post function to a workflow transition.

Configure a post function

Here is how a Jira admin can add and configure the post function:

  1. Click Workflows and then Edit for the relevant workflow.

  2. Select the transition:

    • In diagram mode, select the transition arrow.

    • In text mode, select the transition's name from the Transitions (id) column.

  3. Open the post functions tab:

    • In diagram mode, click Post functions in the properties panel to show the triggers configured for the transition.

    • In text mode, select the Post functions tab.

  4. Click Add post function.

  5. Choose TOPdesk: .... post function and click add.

  6. Set the parameters for the post function and click add.

  7. Choose Publish Draft to finalize your changes.
