Page numbering
Page numbering helps you to number all headings on a page. Page numbering is available on a published page.

Using page numbering

Page numbering can be turned on or off from a published Confluence page. Page numbering is not available in-edit mode. You will find the Numbered Headings page numbering button on the page info section of a Confluence page.
The page numbering button
By clicking on the page numbering button and turning on the numbered headings toggle, page numbering can be configured.
Combining macro numbering and page numbering on the same page is something we discourage. This is to prevent confusion, especially when using advanced configuration.

If you don't want to use the default numbering format, you can change the configuration of the numbering.
